The Basic Police Officer Course at the training academy are needing 10 volunteers on Wednesday, May 15th for a “Wet Lab”. Time is from 4:00pm to 9:00 pm but subject to change. A Wet Lab means the cadets are learning their “Driving While Intoxicated” phase of the academy and they need to practice administering the Standardized Test to intoxicated subjects. If you volunteer you will be drinking alcohol to reach a specific level of intoxication. This is a controlled environment with several instructors. Volunteers will need to have a sober ride home. It will be held at the training academy off Uhland Road.
Training Academy is behind the Hays County Jail on Uhland Road.
