Kelly Higgins grew up in Houston, and like all Houstonians, was born with a burning desire to live in Wimberley. After a well-spent youth playing terrible rock music, Kelly decided maybe he’d make a better lawyer than guitar player. He attended SMU, graduating cum laude in History, and afterwards attended UT Law in Austin, which finally brought him close to his dream of living in Hays County. After being licensed as a lawyer, Kelly began practicing in Hays County courts, the same courts he practices today as your elected DA. It’s his home court, as it were.
 
Kelly now lives in Wimberley, at the top of a hill at the end of the lane. He lives with two dogs, Eddie and Ladybird, and his mom, Betty. He still plays a little guitar, but he now knows he isn’t very good at it.
