Speaker Bio: Buck Russel, Sr. Supervisor Public Safety Union Pacific Railroad, and works to prevent highway grade crossing collision and trespasser incidents through education, enforcement, engineering and community outreach. Buck focuses on promoting public safety across Union Pacific Railroad’s system, which encompasses 23 states and 32,000 miles of track. He works with Federal, State, local governments, and internal and external safety partners to address driver behaviors and to prevent trespasser incidents. Buck started his career with Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer 26 years ago. Prior to joining Union Pacific, he served as a Police Officer in South Texas and in the U.S. Air Force. Buck has three children and two grandchildren.
