Speaker: Sgt. Dara Bowlin, Texas Office of the Attorney General, Criminal Investigations Division
Topic: Human Trafficking / Transnational Organized Crime
Bio: Sergeant Dara Bowlin, is an investigator assigned to the Texas Office of Attorney General,
Criminal Investigations Division, Human Trafficking Unit and has been a certified Texas Peace
Officer for over 17 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from
Southwest Texas State University, as well as Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from
Texas State University and is a Master Peace Officer. Sgt. Bowlin has worked in Human
Trafficking and Child Exploitation for over 10 years. In this assignment, she is responsible for
the investigation of crimes involving the trafficking of adults and children, forced labor, and
forced commercial sex. Sgt. Bowlin has been a member of the South Texas Internet Crimes
Against Children (ICAC) Task Force for over 10 years and has specialized training in the area of
digital child executions of search warrants.
The meeting will be held in the Community Outreach Classroom.
